Operating Systems

The export and import function use the MongoDB Command Line Database Tools. When starting the plugin for the first time, these can be easily downloaded and installed.

Linux

• Amazon Linux 2 and 2013.03+

• Ubuntu 20.04, 18.04, 16.04 and 14.04

macOS

• macOS 10.12 and later

Compatibility with M1 systems has been tested.

JetBrains IDE

MongoExpert is an extension of JetBrains IDE. A version of JetBrains IDE is needed for use. An overview of JetBrians IDEs can be found here: https://www.jetbrains.com/products/

DataGrip is the recommended IDE for the plugin.

MongoDB Server Compatibility

The following MongoDB Server versions are supported by MongoDB Database Tools. Older versions will also work, but compatibility cannot be guaranteed.

• MongoDB 4.4

• MongoDB 4.2
