Installing MongoExpert is quick and hassle-free.

The plugin comes with a straightforward setup dialog that guides you through each step of the installation process. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced developer, you can get MongoExpert up and running in just a few minutes — no complex configuration required!

Install MongoExpert Plugin

1. Pick your IDE

2. Open the Plugin Settings at File ➡️ Settings ➡️ Plugins

3. Enter MongoExpert in the text input field

4. Click the download button.

5. Restart your IDE.

Install MongoDB Database Tools

At startup, the program checks whether the Database Tools are installed correctly. If not, the following notification is displayed:

Click Download Now to open the installer. Simply select the appropriate platform and accept the license terms.

After that, the required files are downloaded and prepared in the background. When the installation is completed, you should see this notification.
